Morning clouds in the valleys of the mountains at the eastern edge of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in Western North Carolina.

Photography has been an avocation my entire life. It became a vocation 25 plus years ago after selling my general insurance agency and retiring from the insurance industry. Both photographic and computer skills have been self taught. Specializing in nature, wildlife, landscape, marine, and historical subjects, most of my images are of the natural world. People and material objects appear only when they serve to provide additional meaning.
