The Historic Rod and Reel Pier, built and established in 1947, extends into Tampa Bay on the northeast shore of the barrier island of Anna Maria on Florida's Gulf Coast. In addition to fishing in Tampa Bay, the pier has a two story building at the end with a restaurant upstairs and a bar downstairs. It is a must visit tourist destination.

Photography has been an avocation my entire life. It became a vocation 25 plus years ago after selling my general insurance agency and retiring from the insurance industry. Both photographic and computer skills have been self taught. Specializing in nature, wildlife, landscape, marine, and historical subjects, most of my images are of the natural world. People and material objects appear only when they serve to provide additional meaning. Images are not intended to be documentary but are "Fine Art" made for the viewer to find personal meaning, to bring back memories, and to create dreams.
