Blue-green water, breaking surf, shore birds, and volcanic rock shoreline tell only a small part of the story of the Galapagos Islands, located in the Pacific Ocean, 600 miles off the country of Ecuador. This image was taken from the northern coast of Santa Cruz Island .

Photography has been an avocation my entire life. It became a vocation 25 plus years ago after selling my general insurance agency and retiring from the insurance industry. Both photographic and computer skills have been self taught. Specializing in nature, wildlife, landscape, marine, and historical subjects, most of my images are of the natural world. People and material objects appear only when they serve to provide additional meaning. Images are not intended to be documentary but are "Fine Art" made for the viewer to find personal meaning, to bring back memories, and to create dreams.
